About Ceramisist Joanna Ling

Joanna worked in the art world for over thirty years before starting her own ceramics business in 2018. She now creates bespoke pieces from her garden studio in London.
Working at Sotheby's, where she was surrounded by beautiful objects on a daily basis, Joanna had a craving to create her own work. She had always been drawn to ceramics so it felt only natural to choose clay as her medium.
In a world of mass production, Joanna feels it important to cherish the singular which is why every piece she creates is unique and handmade.
She particularly likes to include elements in her work that reflect something about the person they are for or the setting they will be in.

Her designs tend towards minimalism and simplicity and therefore look at home in most interiors.
OSSKI feels very privileged to be able to sell Joanna’s pieces, having visited her at her home studio and seen at first hand the attention and work that she puts into her creations.
Joanna is a great inspiration for Osski as she also took a career change later in life!
